Layered lanscapes
The paintings are created through layered processes—scratched, scraped, and reworked to reveal traces of earlier layers. This intuitive approach allows each stratum to respond to the one before and guide the next. The works evoke abstracted landscapes, serving as narratives of the land and my personal connection to it.

Rich with color and texture, the paintings reveal worn paths and subtle traces of those who came before. Through layered, intuitive mark-making—scratched, scraped, and rebuilt—the work evokes an emotional resonance with the land. In the wild landscape is where I find my deepest connection—walking, observing, and absorbing its quiet history. These places, shaped by time and human hands, hold geological whispers and cultural echoes. Ancient paths and the marks left behind draw me in, offering stillness, a dialogue with the unseen, and a mirror for life’s reflections.
